I’ve always liked the chipped, almost broken parts of furniture and objects. If the object is worn thin, it must have been loved or useful in some way.
I always find comfort in the broken. I find this to be true amongst people, too. I’m attracted to honesty, real life, and all the brokenness that comes with it.
I found this bench online, and the lady who sold it to me said it would be pretty again with a nice coat of paint. Sure, you could power wash this, sand all the paint off, and go to town with some spray paint. Or just spray paint it as it, layers of paint and all.
It would look darling with a makeover.
Truth be told though, I bought this bench because it was chipped. Sometimes the worn parts shine.
I’d love to see you on Instagram sometime. Stop by and say hi!
